As we draw closer to March and the madness that comes with this time of year, our club has been buzzing with excitement. The golf course is in great condition, and the birdies and occasional bogies are in the air. We played the annual Ice Breaker Shamble over the past weekend. This is our kick-off classic to a packed calendar of golf for the year. For those of you who have enjoyed our weekly Grass Masters, we’re just a few weeks away from the inaugural Thursday night classic for 2026. We’re less than two weeks away from Daylight Savings time so get those golf muscles loose as the season is about to break.

In the dining room our members have been enjoying live music, various parties and lots of fun and celebrations. This week, we have Trivia Night on Thursday and Prime Rib Friday along with our weekly Happy Hour. Once the calendar turns to March, you’ll see even more fun for our Social Calendars. Our “business” is bringing members together and yes; business is good. We may not be the biggest, oldest, most established club in Beaufort, but I would bet that we have the most fun. Isn’t that what club membership is all about?

Our club also plays an important role in the community. We’re hosting a fund-raising event for Beaufort High School this week and a new fundraising event for the Animal Rescue League in early March. We also LOVE our veterans! We’re hosting OB FOPS in March and Veterans supporting Veterans benefiting The Adaptive Golf Experience on Derby Day. If you would like any information on playing and supporting some of these events, send me a note and I’ll steer you in the right direction.

Of course, we also love junior players and in March, we are honored to host the US Kids South Carolina Invitational. This two day event brings some of the finest junior players from around the country and the world.
