Before you know it, the pool will be open, and the range will be packed with golfers in search of that elusive secret. The not-so-secret Cabana Bar will be full of members enjoying the warmer weather soon. Warm summer nights are on the way!
Grass Masters
This Thursday is our first Grass Masters of the season. Grass Masters is a 3-player, captain’s choice event that is flighted by handicap. We play nine holes starting at 5:00pm before retiring to the clubhouse to settle the events of the night. If you are looking for a game and a little fun competition, Grass Masters is the answer. If you are a guest, reach out to a member that you may know as this event is open to member’s guests; provided they are playing with the member.
The Rocker Invitational
Two weeks from today will be our annual Rocker Invitational. This is an event between 8 members from Cat Island Club, The Cliffs, Palmetto Club, and we welcome Cuscowilla Club as our fourth and newest club to the championship. The Rocker is a home/home event between the four clubs. At the end of the competition, the winning team will be awarded—a beautiful Rocking Chair! What else would you expect from clubs who value relaxation more than trophies.
Fish Fry Fridays
Each Friday during Lent, Chef Corey will be serving fried fish plus a number of accompaniments.
Brunch Service
Remember, each Sunday from 10:00am until 2:00pm is our Sunday brunch. Corey has a few extra specials on the Brunch menu each week. Next Sunday (16th) Chef will have an Irish flair to Brunch while we extend the St. Patrick’s Day weekend into more than green beer.
US Kids South Carolina Invitational
Next week, Cat Island Club will be the proud host of the US Kids South Carolina Invitational. This event brings 127 players from six different countries and 23 states to CIC. You are welcome to come out and watch these fine young players as they compete in boys and girls divisions, both nine and eighteen holes.
Beaufort High School
Everyone knows that Cat Island Club puts community involvement near the top of our radar screens. On Saturday, March 29th, we’ll be hosting a fundraising event for Beaufort High School. The details are below to sign up or sponsor this event. What a fun way to raise some dollars for our local schools and enjoy a day of golf at Cat Island Club.
