The moment you step onto our course you’ll understand why George Cobb loved this piece of property so much. Some may not recognize his name, but each April you watch pros play on one of Cobb’s other emerald jewels at the Augusta National’s par 3 course. Cobb designed Cat Island to highlight the natural beauty of the South Carolina Sea Islands just minutes from where movies such as Forrest Gump, The Big Chill, and The Prince of Tides were filmed. Whether a beginner or a scratch golfer, you will spend the entirety of the round marveling at the Lowcountry’s beauty. You’ll hit shots down fairways lined with moss-draped live oaks, feel the salty breeze blowing gently past, see deer roaming nearby, and meander through the marshes and rivers on almost every hole. At Cat Island, we love the game. We love the people who play it. And, we love the gorgeous course that George Cobb left us to cherish.
