This past week, we christened the newly renovated clubhouse with our inaugural Chef’s Dinner for our Founding Members. By all accounts, the food, wine, and service were at the highest levels of impeccable. Chef Lucas prepared a five-course meal that had separate wine pairings for each course. The team was flawless in the execution of this culinary experience and now we’re ready to move on to the party and daily operations. The clubhouse décor also received rave reviews and we’re so proud of our Lowcountry Clubhouse.
The menus for lunch, dinner and brunch are included with today’s update, just to whet your appetite. Our aim was to expand your dining options at the Club. Our lunch menu is available all day if you are looking for something light and our dinner menu is full of rich flavors from the freshest ingredients. Chef Lucas is highly talented and has a passion for food that is clearly unmatched. He and his team did a remarkable job while at the Cabana this summer but, in this state-of-the-art kitchen, he can now create very special options for lunch, dinner, and brunch. I’m so proud of the entire team and all that they have accomplished to bring the club to this point. Our bartenders and service staff also do an amazing job and perform as if they have been together for many years. What a blessing it is to have such a dedicated team at Cat Island Club!
While I have been raving about the culinary experience, the golf experience is also quite amazing. We were teased with a few days of “false fall” recently; we all know, it’s truly around the corner. What would be better than a round of golf after work and meeting in the dining room or bar surrounded by friends for a delicious meal. That’s now that life at Cat Island Club.
Ben and his team have done an outstanding job on the golf course and now that the evenings are cooling down, he’s able to get some rest at night (with the exception of last Monday night when his Tigers fell to my beloved Blue Devils!). I digress, so, as the nights start to cool, the green speeds increase, and the golf course takes on a new level of challenge as a result.
Yoga is also back at Cat Island Club. We’ll be hosting Yoga classes each Tuesday at 6:00 PM. For at least the next few weeks, we’ll be in the ballroom and then as the calendar and thermometer turn to autumn, yoga will be on the pool deck in the fresh air! Members can sign up on Clubster for Yoga classes.
