Good news.. we’re going to extend the holiday well into the future for all members and their guests as we host a very relaxing Happy Hour tonight. Rumor has it we’ll also be celebrating a special birthday, but it’s a surprise.
Next week is Fish Fry Wednesday, a special night for everyone who loves seafood, which is just about every person living in or visiting the Lowcountry. Chef Merritt will be serving up her special recipe of beer-battered haddock with fried shrimp.
Don’t forget to reserve your table for our Couple’s Wine Dinner on Wednesday, August 27th. This romantic evening will feature a decadent three-course meal, each course thoughtfully paired with a fine wine to elevate your dining experience. On the golf course, we’re hosting a Saturday special double-header with Grass Masters. This exceptionally popular 9-hole game will be played as an 18-hole contest with the same format we enjoy on Thursday nights. Call the golf shop to register your team (there must be at least one CIC member in each foursome).
Next Saturday is our annual Parent/Child Golf Tournament, where champions are crowned and memories are made—one of the great traditions at every club!
We’re also hosting a special Guest Day each Tuesday and Wednesday until the end of September. Members can bring a guest to the club for 18 holes of golf with a cart for the nine-hole price. If you’re a guest who enjoys playing CIC, seek out your friends who are members and take a Tuesday or Wednesday to enjoy the course during this late-summer special.
Carnival Cat will be an old-fashioned event for the entire family on Friday evening, August 29. This event is open to all members and guests who are reading this update. Come one, come all to the carnival and enjoy cotton candy, a bounce house, a water slide, sno-cones, and of course, the dunk tank!
Labor Day will be a traditional celebration poolside with music, burgers, and dogs on the grill. Chef Merritt and the entire CIC team will be hosting the official end-of-summer party at the pool on Monday, September 1. We hope to see you there!
Members—there is still time to sign up for the Fall Member/Guest Championship on September 19–21. This Member/Guest will set the standard for championships for years to come. Our Head Professional, Keith Maher, will be hosting this event with the assistance of the culinary team to ensure the Fall Member/Guest becomes a tradition like no other. Sign up today!
