Before we dive into all the fun, a quick note on our updated hours:
The Cabana Bar and Grill is now open Friday – Sunday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Cabana delivery service is available during Clubhouse-only hours. The Clubhouse Bar and Grill is open Tuesday from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Wednesday – Saturday from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Be sure to stop by during these times and enjoy your favorite bites and beverages!
A whole new lineup each Wednesday in August starts with our new Ladies’ Luncheon on the 6th. This day, we’re inviting all ladies to come and enjoy lunch together as Chef Merritt will have some specials sure to entice our ladies. We’re also planning our Italian Night for Wednesday the 13th. This one hits close to home for me (no pressure, Merritt) as we enjoy a great menu of Italian favorites, “forget about it.” Fish Fry (August 20th) is quickly becoming a staple on our monthly calendar. The menu changes slightly each month, but the source is the same, fresh and local! Then on the 27th, we’ll host our first “Date Night,” where we will feature a dinner and wine pairing built for two for a quiet evening with the one you love.
Fridays in August are also full of fun and exciting events. Prime Rib Night (August 8th) is a fan favorite. Reservations are strongly encouraged, as this has quickly become our most popular event in the dining room. We also host Happy Hour each Friday from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM, where we serve free appetizers with several drink specials to start your weekend off right.
We’ll kick off Labor Day weekend with our first annual “Carnival Cat”! On Friday, August 29th, the range tee and Cabana area will transform into a playground for all ages. Think water slides, a dunk tank, bounce house, and more high-energy fun to keep the kids laughing and the adults entertained. But that’s not all, we’re bringing out all the classic carnival favorites: cotton candy, snow cones, popcorn, corn dogs, and other nostalgic treats that will take you back to your childhood. This event is open to Members and Non-Members alike. This is one you won’t want to miss. Then, on Monday, September 1st, we’ll wrap up the season with our festive Labor Day Party, officially closing the books on Summer 2025 well, except for the thermometer, of course.
Golf at CIC remains great during August. Grass Masters Thursdays continue through August, and we’ve added a special 18-hole Grass Masters Saturday to the mix. Saturday the 16th will be a Saturday Special for this fun and competitive event.
The annual Parent/Child Golf Tournament is a special memory for all players who collect photos over the years to warm their hearts for many years to come. And Ladies’ Sips and Tips Clinic with our Head Professional, Keith Maher, on August 9th is always fun and insightful.
Another NEW feature that begins this month is Fitness at CIC! Mary Bradlee Barker will be hosting BOOT CAMP (don’t worry Marines, this Boot Camp only lasts 30 minutes a day) each Tuesday at the pool. Each Thursday is Circuit Training, again at the pool for 30 minutes to get your blood pumping for the day. If you are looking to improve your fitness for golf, tennis, or just want to stay stronger and more mobile year-round… these classes are designed with your lifestyle and sport in mind. Classes begin at 6:00 AM and start as low as $8 for members and $12 for guests. For those of you who are committed, we have monthly rates available as well.
