Over the next few days, we’re proud to host the Carolinas Golf Association’s Mixed Team Championship. This event brings more than 50 couples to Beaufort and to Cat Island Club to compete in this CGA Major Championship. What a great showcase for our cities and hotels and also CIC. It’s our way of giving back to our community and golf in general. I’ve been so lucky to lead several clubs in the past when we hosted major high-level, high-profile events. It has always been a badge of honor for our club and our members to welcome these guests to our club for these types of events. Like everything else, we keep things in balance, but it’s always nice to meet new friends and host them in our spectacular setting.
Can you believe that we’re ready to celebrate Labor Day at the pool “and” the one-year anniversary of the opening of our clubhouse. While we love to host a party or two, it’s hard to believe that our clubhouse is only one. What great memories that we’ve created here over the past twelve months and with the holidays around the corner, we’ll have more memories to build on. If you or your company are planning a holiday, get together, it’s not to early to reach out to Laura Vasquez to get on our calendar and start the process.
For those of you who “may” be struggling with your game as of late, did you ever think that you are playing the wrong golf ball? That must be it! Fear not, as we’re hosting a Srixon Golf Ball fitting day on Friday, September 6th. You can come out and allow the “experts” to analyze your swing to determine the ball that gives you maximum performance. Just think, no more balls in the water or out of bounds, only high straight shots that always find their targets. I’m kidding, it’s not a miracle drug, just a golf ball that if fit properly, can reduce your excuses for poor shots! Call the golf shop and talk to Keith or Jeff for more details and to save your spot in the Srixon Ball Fitting Day.
