Last week, one of our wonderful members hosted a cookie exchange that brought together more than 70 ladies for a delicious night of sweets and holiday cheer. Gatherings like this showcase how special Cat Island Club is for celebrating the season—and why it’s the perfect place for your special events.

That spirit continues tonight at the Cat Island Christmas Parade and Clubhouse Party, where friends and neighbors will come together to celebrate the season. The golf cart parade begins at 5:30 PM, followed immediately by the after-party at the Clubhouse once the parade spreads its happiness and fun throughout the neighborhood. Be sure to wear your most festive sweater for special prizes and recognition. All are welcome, and we hope to see you there!

Membership at Cat Island Club is focused on one thing—FUN. We’re not one of those stuffy clubs that requires Mayflower lineage. Our members gather together for golf, dining, beverages, and celebrations. In addition to tonight’s Christmas Party, our membership will enjoy the following events throughout the rest of the month:

• Chef Merritt’s Special Holiday Menu in the Dining Room December 17–21 will be a special week to enjoy delicious dinners prepared by our Culinary Team.
• Golf Shop Holiday Sale All merchandise is on sale now through Christmas. Shop early for the best selections! Please note that all member merchandise credits expire at the end of the year, so don’t forget to use them before December 31.
• Grass Masters Saturday Christmas Shoot-Out December 20 at 10:00 AM will be the last Grass Masters of 2025. Call the Golf Shop today to register your three-player team.
• Santa Brunch – Sunday, December 21 Come have brunch with the Big Man himself! Santa will be in the house for this special event. Come one and come all to enjoy seeing the kids’ faces light up while visiting with St. Nick.
• New Year’s Day Bloody Marys & Bagels Golf Tournament There’s no better way to kick off the New Year than playing golf and enjoying a libation or two to warm your bones.

This is the picture of membership at Cat Island Club. If this sounds like fun to you, there is still time to put the gift of membership under your tree. You can join any of our Golf Access Memberships today and not pay monthly dues until April 2026. There are plenty of days to play golf over the next few months—and you’ll be doing so as a new member of CIC.

Lastly, I want to invite all of you to help support our local Marine community. We are participating in the Marines Feeding Marines Holiday Can Drive. Many local Marine families are stretched tight this holiday season, and rising grocery costs make it even tougher. Marines Feeding Marines is a can drive where donated items are loaded into backpacks carried by Marines from Parris Island, who then run, jog, march, and crawl their way to the finish to help feed fellow Marines in the community.

We’re asking for your help. Please stop by the Cat Island Club Golf Shop before December 17 with any canned food items you wish to donate. All donations will be delivered to MCRD Parris Island to help make America’s finest families’ holidays a little brighter. Thank you in advance from the extended Marine Corps family. Semper Fi!
