Our new Executive Chef, Jacob Barlow, has also hit the ground running this week. Jacob is currently collaborating with the team and transitioning the current menu in preparation to introduce his new menu later this month. Jacob’s Truffle Fries are already a big hit with the membership and his new menu will certainly check plenty of boxes for everyone. While he is working with the staff and running the kitchen, he also enjoys meeting our members and their guests during dinner service. We’re so pleased and proud to have Jacob on board and as he builds his foundation in the kitchen, we’re all in for many treats in the future.
For those of you reading this note and are still thinking about membership, we will be hosting an “Open House Week” starting on March 19th. We’ll have a limited number of tables available during lunch and dinner for potential members to enjoy our culinary team’s offerings and the best service team in the county. Members will also be able to invite guests to play during that week for a discounted rate and lunch after play. If you are considering membership at Cat Island Club and would like to experience membership firsthand, mark your calendars for Open House Week and be sure to say hello when you’re here.
Resuming in March, our dining room will be back to serving lunch and dinner Tuesday through Saturday and Brunch on Sunday. Kids eat free on Wednesdays and our Pot of Gold Dinner drawings will remain on Thursday nights. We’ll host Happy Hours from 4-6 PM Tuesday through Thursday. Look for several fun-themed nights on Tuesdays going forward as well!
We’ve rescheduled our Ladies and Junior Orientations to Friday, February 23rd. Both our Head Golf Professional, Keith Maher and Assistant Professional, Jeff Abrams will be discussing the plans for 2024 Ladies Golf from 5-6 PM and Junior Golf from 6-7 PM. We would love for anyone interested in ladies golf and /or junior golf to attend these informative meetings. Please call the golf shop at 843-524-2000 ext. 101 to register.
We are certainly looking forward to a great season of golf for everyone at Cat Island Club. We’re excited about the year to come and so pleased that so many of you have joined our club. Our reward is to see smiling faces. This is our members’ favorite place to be!
