Our Cat Island Club team has spent the “winter” months planning for the summer season. Our golf programming kicks off with the Super Bowl Shuffle, of course. Our course will be transformed into 18 par 3 holes for this year’s event. Members can sign up on Clubster or by calling the golf shop. Your guests are welcome to play. Wear your favorite NFL colors to gain an extra advantage in the event.
Valentine’s Day is for both lovers and golfers at CIC. This year we’ll remember the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre by hosting a true alternate shot tournament where we’re hoping partners will remain friendly after play. Again, register in the golf shop or on Clubster. That evening, we’ll celebrate Valentine’s Day with the whole family in the dining room, BINGO is in store—and kids eat free with the purchase of an adult entree!
On February 17th our Head Golf Professional, Keith Maher, will be hosting our Ladies Golf 2024 meeting and orientation at 2:00 PM in the clubhouse. He will be introducing the plans for our season of ladies 18- and 9-hole groups. He’ll also be scheduling our Ladies’ Clinics and fun events for all ladies with your feedback that day. If you are a member who’s looking to play in our weekly events, this meeting is for you. If you’re a member who wants to learn more about our ladies’ golf programs, this meeting is for you as well. If you are a non-member and interested in ladies’ golf and possibly joining Cat Island Club one day soon, you too are welcome to attend this informative session. Just call the golf shop at 843-524-2000 ext. 101 to register and for more information.
Later that same day, Keith and our PGA Assistant Professional, Jeff Abrams, will be introducing our 2024 Junior Golf plans starting at 3:00 PM. Like the Ladies, our juniors will have specific play days and clinics as well as participation in the PGA Junior League. Our Cat Island Club team will play against junior teams from around the area in some friendly competition. Again, all members with juniors are encouraged to attend this informative Q&A. If you are a parent interested in having your junior involved with our program, you are welcome and urged to come to the Club that day and gain some valuable information for your junior player.
