I’m also grateful to our current members who are the absolute best ambassadors when it comes to promoting our club to others and always being so welcoming to new members. When new members join our club, the welcome is somewhat overwhelming. The golf members will reach out to ensure that, “If you’re looking for a game, you just found one” while others will invite you join them for dinner or one of the many social functions at the club.
The Golden Ticket summer promotion does expire next week, so if you are interested in joining the club under the Full Golf Membership, Young Executive Membership (under 40 years old), or Founding Membership categories, you can still take advantage of the Golden Ticket promotion this month. Please feel free to contact me directly for more information and to schedule a tour of the club’s amenities.
Our revamped menus have launched, and happy faces ensue! Chef Jacob has put together an amazing array of delicious items for lunch and dinner. In addition to our spectacular food, our service levels are beyond outstanding. There is no better service team than the ones who wear the “Resurrection Fern” on their uniforms.
Last week, I announced that YOU, our Cat Island Club friends, are welcome to dine at Cat Island Club each Tuesday through September to sample the cuisine and service levels for yourself. Just make sure to make a reservation at reservations@catislandclub.com in advance. We’re looking forward to welcoming you to our club.
While the rains have been chasing our golfers off the course a few times over the past few evenings, we welcome the summer showers; our golf course handles these summer storms well. In fact, the conditions are very good for golf. Our juniors competed this week in the PGA Junior League against Oldfield Club. The nine-hole match was indeed a “nail biter” and ended in a tie. Nothing warms our hearts more than watching our junior players competing as a team representing CIC. We’re so proud of each of you and keep up the great work!
Speaking of golf, we have installed QR codes on each of our carts that feature a “hole by hole” flyover that makes yardage books obsolete. The drone footage of each hole is available to players on their phones as they play, including some “advice” on how to navigate the hole. I want to thank Mr. Mark Kirby for his efforts in putting this together that all players will enjoy.
Starting next month, we’ll be hosting our families each Wednesday for family night “back to school” dinners. August themes include Taco night, BBQ night, Italian night and the ever-popular breakfast for dinner night. Members, look for details on Clubster for the specific days and pricing.
