Last week, I highlighted our new Executive Chef, Jacob Barlow, and the new menus which launched this past week. To say that the comments have been overwhelming would be an understatement. Thank you all for sending such positive feedback’ we’re thrilled that you all enjoyed your dining experiences. Starting immediately, our Dining Room will reopen on Tuesdays for lunch and dinner service. Our ever-popular Happy Hours will begin at 4:00 until 6:00 each Tuesday through Thursday. Each Thursday is our Pot of Gold drawing. After last night’s drawing the pot has grown to $600. Remember, the winners must be present to win. Make your reservations early to ensure that you have a chance to win.

Open House week starts on March 19th through Sunday brunch on the 24th. Members can bring guests for golf and lunch for one low price this week and a limited number of non-members are welcome to make a reservation for either lunch or dinner that week. Please reach out to reservations@catislandclub.com for a fantastic dining experience.
I’m also hosting Lunch with the GM on Thursday, March 14th at noon in the wine room. All members are welcome to attend and enjoy lunch as we talk about whatever is on your mind, with the exception of religion and politics. Remember, it is March and the subject of college basketball may also ruffle a few feathers.
March is also the month to “ring the bell” for Golf at Cat Island Club. Our Senior Golfers will play each Tuesday morning while the ladies will play on Wednesdays, both nine and eighteen holes. We’re also hosting our special monthly Ladies Golf Clinic, Chips and Sips on Saturday, March 9th. We’re featuring Sangria along with chips and salsa to help with the learning experience for the most fun you can have on the range!
Then we’re expecting all ladies to sign up their husbands for our couples Nine and Dine on Friday the 22nd of March. We’ll be playing a nine-hole par 3 course with dinner and cocktails immediately after play. We encourage and expect FUN and LAUGHS in place of fierce competition in our Nine and Diners!
We’re also hosting a very special Tri-Club event in March where teams from Cat Island Club, Palmetto Club (in Aiken, SC) and the Cliffs (from the upstate of SC) will be competing for the honor of the Rocker Invitational. We will be hosting the first leg of this year-long event from the 15th through the 17th of the month. If you hear a little extra cheering that weekend, let’s just hope they are wearing the Resurrection Fern on their hearts!
Don’t forget to turn your clocks an hour forward on the 10th and spend more evenings on the golf course starting on the 11th. Don’t you just love this time of year? Go Blue Devils!!!
