The “bell rings” on Sunday as we turn the clocks to daylight savings time. With that, we welcome the weekly Grass Masters back to Cat Island Club. This is a fun (and a bit competitive) weekly 3 player gross scramble. We flight the field and always enjoy a beverage or two after play in the dining room. We already have players signing up for week one of Grass Masters. Note, this is a member’s event, but invited guests are welcome. As a guest, you can reach out to a golf member at CIC to beg for an invite, or better yet, you can join the club now and build your own team!
Our Year Long Match Play Championship is about to begin in March as well. Sign up in the golf shop in either singles or better ball brackets. The rules have been “tightened up” a bit for 2026 so we stay on track with the matches. Call Keith in the golf shop for all the details.
Our Social Calendar is quite full as well for March. Happy Hours each Friday night and Prime Rib nights on March 13th and 27th always fill the dining room and bar. Campfire Tyler is back in the house on March 13th. Make sure to make your reservations as we’ve overbooked the last times that Campfire was at the club.
A new event on the calendar this month is Mahjong Madness on Saturday March 21st. There is still time to register for this event. Let’s fill the room for this new event, please see the details below.
Now that spring is here and the golf course is starting to break dormancy, it’s “THE” time that we’ve all waiting for. It’s time for golf at our George Cobb classic design. We’ve had great start to the year with new members enrolling at a steady pace. We’re both thrilled and humbled by the number of members joining our club. Our team is devoted to creating exceptional experiences for our members and based on the trends, we must be doing something right. We will continue to delivery on those experiences each and every visit to the club as we enter the spring and summer of 2026. This is going to be a magnificent year for Cat Island Club.
