The purpose of this letter is to inform you that Cat Island Golf Holdings, LLC will close on the purchase of Cat Island at the end of the month. Our group will take over ownership of the property and be on site on June 1, 2022. Unfortunately, due to the timing of closing, our firm will not take possession of the club until after Memorial Day weekend.
With those dates in mind, those of you who have submitted a Member Reservation Agreement, beginning on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, we will start accepting Applications for Membership Privileges (attached hereto) and initial payments of the Initiation Fee. For Social Members, the full Initiation Fee amount is due at the time you submit your application and Full Golf Family Members will remit payment for 25% of the Initiation Fee with your application. Please be aware that the posted initiation fees are introductory for pre-sale and will increase prior to the opening of the golf course.
The first billing of monthly dues will take place on Friday, July 1, 2022. Social Members will be invoiced for July 2022, along with a prorated amount for June 2022, based on the date in which the pool complex is open and available to members. Full Golf Family Members will follow the same schedule as Social Members and pay Social Member dues until the golf course is open and available to members. Please reference the membership details on the application for specific information regarding payment schedules and other information.
In the event we need to close the pool temporarily for the transition, our intention is to host a grand re-opening celebration as soon as practical following the change in ownership. The safety of our members and our team remains our top priority, and we will be working with local authorities (DHEC) to ensure that all the necessary precautions are in place. We are also working on staffing and logistical elements to ensure that the pool is a first-class facility and sets the tone for the club’s amenity offerings.
I will be sending regularly scheduled, member-focused communications to each of you regarding plans and updates from the club. I urge you to share these with your friends, neighbors, and family members to help build our club with members, just like you! We have already started developing a schedule of summer events for the pool, along with plans for the practice facility, which will include golf instruction and perhaps a demo day to test and purchase new equipment, in time for your maiden voyage around our newly renovated golf course.
Please be patient with us as the world continues to be in a state of turmoil from time to time and the hospitality industry is not immune to such delays and interruptions. Rest assured, I will do my absolute best to make certain that your membership experience is indeed exceptional. There may be times when plans and schedules will be adjusted due to circumstances outside of our control, but I assure you, I’ll keep you informed of the process all along the way. My goal is to ensure the new Club will be your home away from home, a place for you to relax and enjoy the wonderful game of golf.
