Our holiday season is now officially starting as we are hosting our annual Turkey Trot Par 3 contest tomorrow at 9:00 am. Rumor has it that it’s going to be a bit chilly at 0900 tomorrow, but the show must go on as we have a big day planned. After the tournament, we’ll be hosting a watch party on the back patio for the South Carolina Super Bowl at noon. Come out and watch the Tigers and Gamecocks battle it out on our new outdoor TV’s. We’ll have the fire going to keep you warm and a few hot toddies to help you through the day (regardless of who wins). The annual Christmas tree lighting will follow the game as our youngest members will be making ornaments to decorate the club tree. Throughout the day is the Christmas Golf Shop Sale where all golf shop merchandise will be on a special sale. Lines from Foot Joy, Johnnie O, Cutter and Buck and Straight Down just to name a few will all be on sale. Remember, golf shop credit must be used by year end, so now is the perfect time to load up for Christmas.
Our Boys and Girls Club holiday party is on Wednesday, December 11th. Please contact the Boys and Girls Club to reserve your table for this special evening. We’re still collecting unwrapped toys for the B&GC in the golf shop and will be up until the 11th of December. You’ll want to make plans to come out for the Christmas Social from 5:00 until 10:00. You have the opportunity to make a local child’s Christmas holiday truly memorable by bringing a toy and attending the social that evening. Contact Kim Sullivan at 803-606-1530 for more details.
So, now that we’re firmly in the Holiday Season, we can reflect on the great blessings that we all have and so much to be thankful for. On behalf of Resort Development Partners and all of the staff at Cat Island Club, we’re thankful for all the support that you have shown us over the past 2 ½ years. We certainly love what we do and who we do it for—all of you reading this note turn our work into passion and we’re grateful to all of you. Happy Holidays everyone!
With warmest regards,
Tim Mervosh
