Moments like that remind me of the why behind what we do at Cat Island Club. Watching this property transform from an overgrown “jungle” just a few years ago into the stunning course it is today makes us proud, but the true why isn’t in what we’ve accomplished. It’s in what we continue to build.
We don’t sell widgets at Cat Island Club, we provide experiences. Our mission is to create positive memories and meaningful connections. There’s nothing better than seeing members smiling, laughing, and sharing time together, many of whom met right here for the first time. That’s the magic of this place.
Later this month, we’ll come together for our annual Thanksgiving Day Buffet, one of our favorite traditions. Chef Merritt and his team will craft a delicious spread of entrées, sides, desserts, and all the fixin’s, but the best part is watching families gather, laugh, and celebrate together. Those moments are the heart of our why.
We’re also proud to host a Veterans Day Breakfast this Tuesday, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. We invite all veterans to join us for a complimentary meal as we honor America’s finest. In addition, throughout November, we’re celebrating the Marine Corps Birthday by inviting all Marines to play golf at CIC for just a cart fee. Honoring those who serve is a privilege, and another powerful why in what we do.
Before we look too far ahead, don’t forget our Italian Night is happening tonight! Chef Merritt has been preparing a wonderful menu that will bring the flavors of Italy to the Lowcountry. If you haven’t reserved your table yet, there’s still time to join us for this delicious evening of food and fellowship.
Then on Saturday morning, our Grassmasters Scramble tees off with a 10:00 a.m. shotgun start. Gather your team for a fun day on the course, then stick around afterward for “Burgers & Brew”, featuring Chef Merritt’s new signature burger and our latest featured local brew. It’s the perfect way to wrap up a great fall Saturday at the Club!
And mark your calendars for one of our most festive events of the year, the Christmas Party & Golf Cart Parade on Friday, December 13th. It’s an evening filled with holiday cheer, great food, live music, and plenty of fun for the whole family. We can’t wait to see the creativity and sparkle on display as members deck out their carts for the parade!
Finally, one more why: we want every member to feel proud of being part of something special. Cat Island Club isn’t just a beautiful place.. it’s a community built on connection, gratitude, and shared experience. We are thankful for each of you who make up this remarkable club, and we look forward to creating many more moments together.
