Soon we’ll be welcoming back the snowbirds from around the country and Canada. They are easy to spot during the cool mornings and evenings as they are still wearing their summer wardrobes, and maybe a random Maple Leafs hockey sweater.
October is also a great time to join Cat Island Club. I’ve already mentioned that the golf course is in wonderful condition, and we have a great calendar of events for our golfers coming up. The Couples Championship will be contested tomorrow where one team will be crowned the Champions and the other husbands will just get crowned (just kidding ladies). Next month our golfing members will be competing in the annual Member/Member Championship on the 23rd and 24th. Sign up today for this major golf event.
We are turning the entire course into 18 par 3 holes on the Saturday after Thanksgiving for our annual Turkey Shoot Par 3. This event will be open to members and their guests. The event will conclude on the Oak Patio with a traditional Lowcountry Boil that Chef Corey prepares. The Boil is for all members, whether you are playing in the event or not, so make plans today for the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
Speaking of Thanksgiving, that’s just another great reason to join the club. You can host your family and friends without cooking! Corey is planning a traditional Thanksgiving feast that I’ll guarantee will be worthy of a holiday feast. Throw in our Christmas events including Brunch with Santa and your entire family will be engaged in Cat Island Club membership.
