Last week I introduced everyone to our “Member for a Day” program, where we invited everyone to come and experience Cat Island Club firsthand. I’m so proud of our team when I hear the comments from our guests this week. I’ve heard the compliments and praise about the condition of the golf course and the balance of the challenges that it presents. The comments regarding our clubhouse and food and beverage team are humbling to say the least. The notes and remarks that I’ve received about our culinary team are even beyond my expectations.
For those of you who have not made a reservation for dinner or brunch at Cat Island Club, you are missing an opportunity. You can experience Club life at visit. Parking right outside the clubhouse doesn’t get any easier—no meters or searching street to street for a space. When members walk into the club, our hostess with an ever-present smile will ensure that your table is available, and your favorite drink is waiting. While the service levels are of gold medal standards, the delicious food that Chef Lucas and his team produce is also worthy of the praise we receive. We demand that even the simplest items on the menu will absolutely exceed your expectations. Then we can “turn it up” when we host elegant wine dinners and Supper Clubs.
I mention these elements to answer the question, “What makes a private club so special?” I relate it to the question, “Why do you drive a certain car?” By adding upgrades and options to your car, you gain a better experience each time you drive it. What is comfort, safety, and satisfaction worth when buying a new car? The same holds true for private club membership.
The comfort of everyone knowing your name where you can relax and enjoy your downtime is priceless. The safety of dropping off your kids at the golf course or pool and knowing that they are building a lifetime of memories is also priceless. All of the special perks of membership, which are somewhat intangible, add to the satisfaction. Let’s face it, we would rather enjoy a private club experience without the crowds, chaos, and stress of everyday life. A home away from home.
Yes, membership has its perks and realistically, is not for everyone. But if you are looking for an experience that is superior in so many ways, I ask you to give me a call to set up a tour of Cat Island Club. This week is a perfect time for a test drive. Let’s face it, you’re worth it!
With warmest regards,
