Now that our Clubhouse is fully operational, our team has been working diligently to build our calendar of golf, social and family events and everything in between to ensure that our members have multiple opportunities to stay engaged in the club.
Our golf events for the remainder of the year will include a Member/Member event, One Day Member/Guest, and a Club Championship. More details about those events will be sent to members via our Clubster App. Our Seniors Golf, Ladies Golf, Nine and Dine and Men’s groups will begin the week of September 26th. We will also be hosting a New Year’s Day Oyster Roast following a Golf tournament to kick-off 2024, Cat Island style.
With the holidays upon us, Cat Island looks forward to becoming part of your new traditions! The social calendar for the balance of the year will kick off with a “Spooky Soiree”—including Trunk or Treat, Contests, Games and more. Members will be urged to make early reservations for Thanksgiving Day when Chef Lucas and our amazing service team host a holiday buffet that will be truly special; and you won’t have to worry about cleaning up the kitchen afterwards. During the Thanksgiving weekend, we’ll also host a Lowcountry Boil and BBQ dinner for members, family, and friends.
Before you know it, we’ll be celebrating the Christmas holidays. We’ll have our tree lighting early in December. It goes without saying that our youngest members will work with Santa’s helpers on a number of projects and fun events during the month. Maybe the Grinch too? While there is still time to dig through your cedar chests—find your ugly holiday sweater, as you’ll need that for a special week in December as well. Our culinary team will present a special Christmas Pre-Fixe dinner for members during the month and Santa’s brunch on Christmas Eve.

If racquet sports are in your wheelhouse, Jill will be hosting Pickleball Drills and Skills next Tuesday morning at 9:30. Here you can practice your dink while growing the most popular game in America. A pickleball Round Robin event will be held on Wednesday the 27th of September for members and their invited guests.
