We have a vision at Cat Island Club as well. From our humble beginnings just two years ago, our vision has been to create a club where members relish good times, relaxation, competition, and overall fun. Our vision includes respecting the great game of golf and those who play it. Our vision includes introducing this great game to junior players, where it can become a guiding influence in their lives. Our vision is to provide the Lowcountry, and specifically North of the Broad River in Beaufort County, with a little slice of heaven that our members call “their favorite place to be” and spend time. While we don’t expect Cat Island Club to grow into worldwide fame like Mr. Ryder’s Cup, our wish is to make CIC just as precious for those who join the club and call Cat Island Club home.
Speaking of calling CIC home, last week I introduced our Fall for the Fairway membership drive, and I’m so pleased with the buzz that’s in the air as a result of this news. This initiative is quite simple: join any of our golf-access memberships now, or at least before the end of October, and pay no dues until March 2026. Our various memberships are outlined in the Membership Brochure at the end of this article. If you have any questions regarding the club or membership options, please never hesitate to contact me directly at the club, 843-524-2000 ext. 103.
I also want to congratulate one of our members on making a hole-in-one recently on #16. We’re so proud of Jackie Venturino for hitting the perfect shot and etching her name on our list of “acers” at Cat Island Club. Way to go, Jackie, keep up the great work (see photo below)!
This weekend, our club is also hosting the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, where young players from around the Southeast come to compete and build their résumés for bigger events down the road. All the very best to all players, especially the two who call Cat Island Club home, Hogan and Wallace. We’re so proud of both of you! Perhaps one day, you may be raising a different Cup on a much larger stage. Keep your visions alive, boys, we’re pulling for you!
And finally, a reminder that tonight we are hosting our Fall Sip ‘n’ Shop from 5 PM to 8 PM. This fun evening is a chance to browse amazing vendors, discover seasonal finds, and enjoy a relaxed social night at the club. I hope you’ll stop by and take part in the festivities.
With warmest regards,
Tim Mervosh
General Manager
