The Beaufort, S.C. property has changed hands several times, and the course, which has fallen into a state of disrepair, has been closed since 2019. New owners Resort Development Partners have shortened the name to Cat Island Club and plan to renovate the George W. Cobb-designed course first—with a tentative opening in Fall 2022—and then focus on updating the clubhouse.
